Botulinum toxin (Botox) is not just for fixing wrinkles! Botox naturally relaxes the muscle, and when used therapeutically in dentistry it can help manage issues like gummy smiles, clenching, teeth grinding, headaches and TMJ disorders.

Therapeutic Botox Process

1

Evaluation

At your evaluation the doctor will discuss your concern and palpate muscles that may be responsible for dental complications, pain or trigger points.

2

Diagnosis

The doctor will review the areas of concern and the dental complications they may be causing. A treatment plan will be presented and you'll be encouraged to ask questions.

3

Treatment

Treatment is quick and requires no numbing. The Botox is delivered with tiny insulin-type syringes.

4

Follow Up

After 2 weeks you'll be seen for a follow-up visit to confirm adequate muscle relaxation was achieved.

Benefits of Therapeutic Botox

No Drowsy or Addictive Medications

Pain relief without the fear of long-term side effects or addiction.

Easy to Administer

Treatment is quick and requires no anesthetic.

Prevent Grinding and Cracked Teeth

Cracked teeth can be painful and expensive to fix. Grinding wears away tooth structure that is impossible to replace and ages your smile.
